Outdoor porcelain is made with a textured surface that gives grip when wet. You’ll often see it described with an R rating, such as R11, from a ramp test used across Europe.
In the UK, the wet pendulum test (PTV) is the measure most professionals rely on, and a value of 36 or more is generally considered low slip risk. We check the manufacturer’s data for your chosen tile, especially for pool surrounds, steps and slopes, before we quote.
