Large format tiles make a room feel bigger and quieter. With fewer joints, the surface reads as one continuous plane, which is exactly what modern open-plan kitchens and extensions call for.

Popular sizes include 1200 × 1200 mm, 600 × 1200 mm and 900 × 900 mm, with selected collections also offered as slabs up to around 1200 × 2780 mm for walls, worktops and feature areas.

What to plan for

Large formats need a flat substrate and an experienced installer. Allow a little more for cuts, especially in smaller rooms. Our calculator builds that in for you.

Common questions

Do large tiles need a special installer?

They need a flat floor and an installer used to handling big formats with the right levelling system and adhesive coverage. Most experienced tilers will be familiar with them.

Is porcelain suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes. Porcelain conducts heat well and is a popular choice over underfloor heating. Your installer should follow the heating and adhesive manufacturers’ guidance.

Can I order samples first?

Yes. Choose up to three colours and we’ll post free cut samples to any UK mainland address, usually within 2–3 working days.
